We have been engaged as the exclusive agency for The Premier League to look for a Commercial Solicitor to work in its in-house enforcement team in Singapore. The right candidate will have excellent knowledge of the anti-piracy space and awareness of the current issues and challenges faced in the content protection area. This role involves working on all elements of the team’s enforcement strategy, particularly civil and criminal actions pursued against individuals and entities involved in the piracy of the Premier League’s audio-visual rights, both in Singapore and around the Asia-Pacific region. You will be required to work independently and oversee a variety of cases as well as related enforcement efforts where required. Your efforts will be part of a broader global strategy and will involve regular liaison with head office in London as well as liaising with and overseeing retained counsel around the region. The ideal candidate will be 3-5 years PQE (preferably from a reputable law firm or recognised in house legal department of an industry relevant company e.g., media rightsholder, broadcaster, new media platforms), have working knowledge of IP (in particular copyright and IP enforcement) laws, be experienced in litigation, preferably in IP enforcement matters in Singapore and the APAC region. Fluency in English essential; Mandarin language skills preferred. Ref: HZ 89-00004
