Our client is a reputable company with diversified business and a predominant player in the market, they are currently looking to hire a Lead Employment Counsel.
Primary responsibilities: the role would be managing all legal and compliance matters in relation to human resource affairs across the group including non-contentious and contentious matters
Other responsibilities: to engage with various business units and provide legal advice and solutions; Draft and review various commercial contracts and other legal documents; Make recommendations and work with external counsels on major /complex legal issues managing disputes/litigations; Handle relevant compliance matters; and keep abreast of developments in regulations for business across the region.
To qualify, you are expected to be: a Common law qualified solicitor ideally with HK legal qualifications, with 7 – 13 (+) years PQE is required, ideally 10 or more years of PQE. You will need to have relevant legal experience from sizable companies and law firms; Legal experience in employment related matters is required, and additional general corporate and commercial experience is advantageous but not a must. You are expected to have strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
